Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese – a pizza lover’s dream!
Ingredients:
– 4 slices of your favorite bread
– 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 8-10 slices of pepperoni
– 2 tablespoons butter, softened
– 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Bread:
Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each bread slice. If desired, sprinkle the buttered sides with Italian seasoning and garlic powder for extra flavor.
Assemble the Sandwich:
On the non-buttered side of two bread slices, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce, then top with a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices. Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side out.
Cook the Sandwich:
Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and gooey.
