Marry Me Chicken
This creamy, flavorful chicken dish is so delicious it just might inspire a proposal!
Ingredients:
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Fresh basil, chopped, for garnish
Directions:
Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Let simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
