Savory Chinese Chicken Cabbage Stir-Fry
A quick, healthy, and flavor-packed dish perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients:

• 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (sliced into thin strips)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp cornstarch
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil
• 3 garlic cloves (minced)
• 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
• 4 cups green cabbage (thinly sliced)
• 1 carrot (julienned)
• 1/2 cup chicken broth
• 2 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1 tsp sugar
• 2 green onions (sliced for garnish)
• 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)



Directions:

1. Marinate the Chicken:
• Toss chicken strips with salt, pepper, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.
2. Cook the Chicken:
• Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through (4-5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
3. Sauté Aromatics:
• Add the remaining 1 tbsp oil to the skillet. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Cook Vegetables:
• Add cabbage and carrots. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
5. Make the Sauce:
• In a small bowl, mix chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Pour into the skillet.
6. Combine Everything:
• Return chicken to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes until well coated.
7. Serve:
• Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
