Ingredients:

Brownie Layer:

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Creamy Butterfinger Topping:

• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup whipped topping (or whipped cream)
• 1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars



Directions:

1. Prepare Brownie Base: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Make Brownie Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until a thick batter forms.
3. Bake Brownies: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the brownies cool completely.
4. Make Butterfinger Topping: In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping, then gently stir in half of the crushed Butterfinger pieces.
5. Assemble Bars: Spread the Butterfinger topping over the cooled brownies in an even layer. Sprinkle the remaining Butterfinger pieces on top.
6. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing for best results. Serve chilled for a perfectly gooey texture.
