Savory Sausage and Mushroom Stuffed Mushrooms 
Ingredients:
20 large white mushrooms (stems removed and finely chopped)
½ pound Italian sausage (remove casings)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Sausage and Sage Stuffed Mushrooms

Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the Sausage:

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.
Sauté the Vegetables:

In the same skillet, add the chopped mushroom stems, onion, and garlic.
Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine the Filling:

Return the cooked sausage to the skillet.
Stir in the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and parsley.
Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is well combined.
Stuff the Mushrooms:

Spoon the sausage mixture into the mushroom caps, pressing the filling in gently.
If desired, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each stuffed mushroom.
Bake:

Place the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
Garnish and Serve:



Garnish with extra parsley before serving, if desired.
Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish!
