Creamy Beef and Shells: A Comforting Pasta Delight

Indulge in this rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender shell pasta enveloped in a savory beef and tomato sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients:
• 8 ounces (2 cups) medium pasta shells
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 medium onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• ½ teaspoon mustard powder
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 2 cups beef broth
• 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
• ¾ cup heavy cream
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
• 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Directions:
1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta shells until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.

3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, and mustard powder, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.

4. Create the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for about 1 minute to eliminate the raw flour taste. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and tomato sauce, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until slightly thickened, about 6-8 minutes.

5. Add Cream and Cheese: Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

6. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet, stirring to coat them evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.

7. Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
