How Did Johnny Gaudreau die?
Sadly, that vibrant life came to a tragic end. On August 29, Johnny Gaudreau, 31, and his younger brother, Matthew, 29, were both killed in a biking accident in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. The brothers, who were in their hometown of Salem County to serve as groomsmen in their sister’s wedding, were struck by a car driven by a suspected drunk driver while biking on Country Route 551 North just after 8 p.m.
The driver, Sean M. Higgins, attempted to pass another vehicle and fatally hit both Johnny and Matthew, according to the New Jersey State Police. Higgins has been charged with two counts of death by auto, and the investigation is ongoing.
