Double Chocolate Hawaiian Tiramisu
This decadent tiramisu combines the rich flavors of chocolate with the tropical sweetness of Hawaiian rolls. Here”s how to make it:
Ingredients
8 ounces mascarpone cheese
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 cup full-fat canned coconut milk
1/4 cup + 3 tablespoons Kahlua or coffee liqueur (optional)
4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1-2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder (optional)
1/2 cup strong brewed Hawaiian coffee (or your favorite black coffee)
6 Sweet Hawaiian rolls, cubed
1 cup coconut whipped cream (or 1 1/2 cups whipped cream for topping)
4 ounces dark or milk chocolate, finely chopped
Cocoa powder and matcha green tea powder for dusting
Chocolate-covered coffee beans for serving (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture:
Melt Chocolate:
Melt 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate using a stovetop or microwave. Let it cool slightly.
Mix Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, coconut milk, 3 tablespoons of Kahlua (if using), the melted chocolate, and vanilla extract. Beat with a mixer on medium speed until creamy, light, and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
2. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
Combine Coffee and Kahlua:
In a shallow bowl, mix the brewed Hawaiian coffee with the remaining Kahlua.
Dip Bread:
Lightly dip the cubed Hawaiian rolls into the coffee mixture, allowing any excess coffee to drip off.
3. Assemble the Tiramisu:
Layering:
In 4-6 serving glasses or one large serving bowl, start with a layer of the coffee-dipped Hawaiian bread.
