Christmas Eggnog Bread
A festive, spiced loaf perfect for holiday gatherings! This bread is soft, warmly spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, and has that classic eggnog flavor that everyone loves. Make it a holiday tradition!
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup eggnog
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Prep:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan to prevent sticking.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, combine eggnog, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Mix & Fold:
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped pecans if desired.
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool & Serve:
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy the holiday cheer!
