Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars
Ingredients:
– 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated for safety)
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
– 1/3 cup brown sugar
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 2 tablespoons milk
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup mini chocolate chips
– 200 g dark chocolate (for coating)
Directions:
1. To make the flour safe for consumption, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let it cool completely.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
3. Mix in the milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
4. Gradually add the heat-treated flour and mix until the dough is smooth. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
5. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
6. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
7. Remove the chilled cookie dough from the pan and cut it into bars. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly. Place the bars on a parchment-lined tray.
8. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top before the coating sets, if desired.
9. Chill the bars in the fridge for another 20 minutes until the chocolate is fully hardened. Serve and enjoy!
